My daughter’s 3rd birthday was her golden, so we celebrated my Princess Charlotte in a royal way. Everything needed to be pink, gold and sparkly. Princesses are everything at this age. If you’ve been following our blog, you already know we come from a very creative family. So naturally we LOVE throwing birthday parties. Planning a party is fun, but also a little overwhelming! Remember to enjoy your time! Most of the time things don’t go exactly as you thought, but that’s ok! What’s most important is enjoying those moments with your family and friends. Remember it’s for the KIDs… well sort of 😉

Invitation
I found an adorable etsy template that I could edit myself. When I create a paper invitation, I always buy templates from etsy designers. It is SO easy and they are adorable and affordable. For printing I use Costco’s printing services, if you have a Costco near you, I highly recommend this service. I use the service that is sent out and takes a week to print, the paper quality is professional and it’s affordable. Make sure to plan for the 7 day printing window.
Party Favors & Activities
I bought princess wands and wings for the girls to run around in. For the boys I made swords and shields from card board cut outs and glue on foam from Michaels. Not only were these so cute but also were a fun dress up activity for the kids to play with during the party.
An adorable and simple activity is decorating your own crowns. However, the main event was the arrival and performance of Princess Elsa and Princess Ariel. We have a local company called Enchanted Events. I highly recommend this company if you are local to St. Louis. These princesses are amazing and brought magic to the party. We chose the two-princess birthday package. The princess’ arrived and the kids were entranced for an hour! They sat quietly listening and watching every move. I think three to four years old is the perfect age for this! Charlotte was crowned Princess for the day and they sang several Disney songs. All of the kids (and MOMs) were entranced by the performance. If you are hosting a birthday party at your own house, I highly recommend looking this up!
Decorations & Dessert
I found a cut-out castle that was perfect and served as a play and dress up house during the party. My daughter also played with it for weeks after.
I purchase balloon arches for all of my parties. They instantly bring the décor to the next level and are so easy and cheap. The key is you must own an air pump. I use this one.
My mom is extremely creative and has a love for baking. She made this incredible crown cake and princess cookies.
