What You will Need
EQUIPTMENT
MARGHERITA PIZZA INGREDIENTS
- 1 pckg refrigerated Pre-rolled Pizza Crust
- 1 jar Pizza Sauce (I love Rao’s!)
- 1 pckg Pre-sliced Fresh Mozzarella
- 1 bunch Campari Tomatoes
- 1 bunch Fresh Basil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
Step 1: Prep Ingredients and Preheat Oven
Pre-heat the oven to 400° for a convection oven or 425° for a regular oven. Slice tomatoes and set aside for later use. Slice mozzarella if not already sliced. I like to buy pre-sliced to save time.
Step 2: Prepare Pizza Dough
Roll out pre-rolled pizza crust onto baking stone. You can keep parchment paper underneath or lightly flour stone to prevent dough from sticking. Tear off square corners and add to edges to create a crust. Gently shape dough into circle.
Twist crust of dough between finger and thumb to create a more uniform twisted crust edge around the circular shape.
Step 3: Bast Crust and Aerate Dough
Melt 2 tbsps butter in microwave and add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp garlic powder, mix until combined. Use basting brush to brush butter mixture onto crust.
Use a fork to poke small holes in dough, gentle enough not to poke through. Be sure to poke any bubbling areas of dough.
Step 4: Add Pizza Sauce and Toppings
Pour on desired amount of pizza sauce and use the back of a spoon to gently spread out from the center of the pie to the crust in circular motion. Add pre-sliced fresh mozzarella topping, sliced tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves evening across pie.
Step 5: Bake Pizza at 400° for 25 Minutes
Bake pizza for 25 minutes, checking at 20 minutes if your oven runs hot. Take out of oven, lift edge of pizza to check that the bottom of the dough is done, add additional time if needed.
Step 6: Slice and Serve
Let slightly cool, cut and serve. Use a pie server to slide under the piece of pizza to ensure it doesn’t stick to stone or tear when serving. Add dipping sauce of your choice is desired! Pairs great with balsamic glaze or ranch. Enjoy!
