If you haven’t heard of a Golden Birthday before, it is the birthday celebrated when someone turns the age that is the same as the day of their birthday. My son’s 2nd birthday was his golden and we had to celebrate with all of his favorite things. So we threw a Bounce & Bubbles Birthday Bash.

Activities & Decorations
As the theme indicates the bounce house and bubbles were key to this party’s decor. My son received the Bounceland DayDreamer Bounce House as his birthday gift, which was the perfect two year old gift and duel served as the party entertainment. We also bought him this bubble machine and bubbles and let run for the bouncing fun. The activities were set up next to our outdoor playhouse which kept the kids running and playing the entire Bounce & Bubbles Birthday Bash!
We dressed up the bounce house with this gold and white balloon arch. It looks great with the bounce house mist color and tied to the Golden Birthday decor. We were able to create this professional arch on our own, using an electric air filler and these balloon arch accessories.
For the kids table, we found the perfect gold glitter paper runner and paired with gold plates, napkins, straws and silverware. This custom letters banner easily transforms to match your party needs. We added these pastel blue, white and gold balloons, which were simply taped to ribbon.
Dessert
The cake was made by @soozcakes and matched the bubbles and golden party theme perfectly. It was a white cake with raspberry filling, covered in butter cream icing and white chocolate bubbles. We love the personalized edible name made with melting candies and a letter silicone mold.
The birthday boy loves sugar cookies, so naturally we also had cookies made by @soozcakes. They are delicious and absolutely beautiful. Her cookies can also be served as the party favors, as they come prepackaged when ordered ahead and shipped! Also, check out our sugar cookie recipe here.
Food
The food for this party was a labor of love. We pulled together several of our favorite party recipes that can be prepared 24-48 hours in advance. The menu included:
- Honey Dijon Turkey and Swiss Sheet Pan Sandwiches
- Italian Ham, Salami, Pepperoni and Provolone Sheet Pan Sandwiches
- Sweet and Savory Pasta Salad
- Avocado Bruschetta
- Broiled Vegetables with Balsamic
- Deviled Eggs with Maple Bacon
A tip when hosting a party at your home is to prep the night before by setting up all party decorations and serving dishes. Plan out what serving dishes are needed and set out, so all you need to do is heat and serve the day of the party. Also keep disposable containers on hand to send home leftovers with your family.
We hope you loved our Bounce & Bubbles Birthday Bash. For more party ideas check out the Events section on our blog here!
